Wake County Heritage Book. In 1761, he moved to Wake Co., NC, and re presented Wake Co. in t
he Provincial Congress of 1776. In some recor ds he is styled "Colonel".
Ridley of Southampton. At the time of his death, he was the oldest li ving magistrate on the bench. He represented Wake Co. in the Hillsbo ro and Halifax Conventions in 1775 and 1776. He also represented Wak e Co. in the House of Commons in 1777 and the Senate in 1797.
