A Blessing given by Patriarch O. W. Liljenquist upon he head of Harvey M. Rawlins Son of James Rawlins & Jane Sharp. Born 14 Feb 1826 in Apple Creek Green Co. Illinois.

Brother Harvey in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and By virtue of the Holy patriarchal office I place my hands upon your head & seal upon you a fathers and a patriarchal blessing with the blessings of Abraham Isaac & Jacob & of the new and everlasting covenant with health and strength of mind and body. that you may live & finish the work which the father appointed unto you even before you was born and enjoy the revelations of the Holy Spirit be full of faith hope & charity and of the testimony of Jesus. and preach the gospel of the Son of God with great power and authority among your associates and wherever the Lord shall open your way. be of good cheer for the Lord is your friend His all-seeing eye has been watching over you ever since you came into the world. He has preserved your life & your faith & lead you by His gentle hand up to the present time & He will continue to watch over you until your great mission is finished, Has heard your prayers accepted of your offerings forgiven you your sins and short comings and a great reward awaits you in the morning of the first resurrection do what you can for your dead for many of your kindred will embrace the gospel in the Spirit world. and they are looking towards you & your Kindred & posterity to do the work for them, That they may come forth with you in the morning of the first resurrection and share in all the blessings prepared for the faithful, and you shall stand as a Savior on Mt. Zion the Lord Bless you & His Holy Angles be round about you strengthen and uphold you and preserve you against pestilence sickness & death for you shall live & see great changes upon the earth associate with Abraham Isaac & Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven, and attain to the office which they hold as Patriarchs, thou art of Ephraim a legal heir to the fulness of the Holy priesthood to Crowns & Kingdoms & to the Blessings & riches of Heaven & of the earth, and to receive a fulness of the ordinances with the Keys of wisdom and of prudence For you shall enjoy these blessings while yet in mortality and hear the voice of the Redeemer and behold His countenance in glorious visions. Thou have become sanctified and Holy & the destroyer shall have no power over you, you shall have communion with Holy beings and be able to look through the veil it shall become thinner and thinner until it is removed, you shall understand the signs of the coming of the Messiah and be a blessing yet for years to come unto your posterity unto your brethren as a wise counselor and leader and the power of God shall rest upon you in great glory you shall heal the sick cast out evil Spirits - and do mighty works through your faith in the Lord & His blessings shall attend you & your family & posterity forever be therefor of good cheer for no blessing shall be withheld from you and you shall be fully prepared to meet the Lord when He shall come in the clouds of Heaven. Spirit and body reunited and be one of that number that shall have the fathers name written upon the forehead. become one of His Kings & Priests & reign with the Redeemer on the earth. These are your Blessings & your destination & I seal them upon you through your faithfulness with eternal life in the name of Jesus Amen
